Positive Affirmations

I work with a lot of women and far too often I hear things like:

I don't want to fail
I'm my worst critic
I hate my pictures
I suck
I'm fat
I look gross
I can't

What's even worse is that negative talk has become part of the way women bond.

"Friends getting together and tearing themselves down is such a common thing that it's hard to avoid" says Ann Kearney-Cooke, Ph.D., a Cincinnati psychologist who specializes in body image.

We can't change society overnight but we can change our behaviors immediately but replacing our negative thoughts with POSITIVE AFFIRMATIONS:

I welcome failure for it brings me insight, strength, growth and knowledge. I have no fear of failure.
I give myself permission to say "no" when I am asked to do something I really don't want to do and I refuse to feel guilty about speaking up for myself.
I give myself permission to rest and heal without guilt
What other people think of me is none of my business.
I am beautiful. There is no one on Earth like me and that is my power.
I am strong, willing and able.
I will be an inspiration to others.
Perfection does not exist. Only progress.
I am courageous.
I am a fighter.
I love my body
I respect myself
I will not put myself down
